| This very vigorous clumping bamboo spreads rapidly like a running bamboo. It has performed well in containers, full shade and full sun. Its vertical culms arch near the tops, and masses of leaves forming at each node create a layered plume- like effect. In the 90ties we had occasionally frost-damage, but nowadays it seems fully hardy. This plant can be found in the botanical garden in the following locations:
